Recommended by a friend, this young lady found a designer, a meeting will be firmly said: ‘My home, must be different! There is no fixed style, as long as it can fully display my aesthetics and meet my personal needs.’ This was the starting point for Metallic Interiors to create a customised home for this homeowner.

Dining room and kitchen: a dreamy mix of metal and light

When you walk into the home, the first thing you notice is the living-dining and kitchen areas, which are the stage for metallic interiors to shine.

The designer’s clever use of mirrors, stainless steel and metal on the walls and ceilings brings out the raw character of the materials and creates an eye-catching sparkle.

The moment you push open the front door and hang up your keys by hand, a wall full of mirrors comes into view. It’s not just a mirror, it’s a clever idea from the designer. Using the reflection effect of the mirror, it not only cleverly hides the shoe cabinet, but also opens up the whole space, as if instantly enlarged several times.

Considering that the young lady does not have many opportunities to cook, the designer boldly transformed the kitchen into an open-plan, and opened up the small balcony to extend the countertop. On the other side, it was made into an exclusive space for cats, which is both practical and full of fun.

The kitchen walls are even more original, with a honeycomb mosaic stainless steel. This unusual material gives the whole space a dreamy feel. Even if you only cook occasionally, you can feel a different and wonderful experience.

The dining room is connected to the kitchen by a customised dining island table. The marble material, seamless link, and exquisite sanitary ware, every detail reveals a sense of high class. Dining here is like being in the middle of an exquisite dinner party.

Moving to the living room, the forest green water wave patchwork floor tiles on the ground and the water wave pattern stainless steel plate on the ceiling reflect each other, coupled with the rendering of the milky white wooden grille, the whole space seems to be lit up, blingbling sparkle reflecting the romance of the starry night.

Collision of colours and materials: the expression of personality in home design

Miss has a unique preference for colours, she likes those bright colours with visual impact. In her opinion, home should not be a bland and tasteless place, but a collection of all favourites.

Therefore, in one corner of the living room, the designer customised an acrylic window for her. Inside, Missy’s supreme loves are displayed, whether they are collectibles or artworks, they can all find their place here. The acrylic is so malleable that it can be installed with just a few extra support bits to greatly increase the load-bearing capacity.

At the other end of the living room, there is a TV background wall with a lot of care. The metal material has a delicate feel and is not easily stained with grey, with bevelled and curved elements and interspersed design, making the background wall more vivid and three-dimensional. Personalised VERSACE appliqué also highlights the unique exotic style, conveying a distinctive style, fatal attraction of a strong artistic meaning.

The water wave pattern floor tiles are laid until the bedroom door, and then perfectly spliced with the bedroom floor. This natural transition design allows different areas to have different spatial atmospheres, but maintains the overall harmony and unity.

The clever hiding of the guest bedroom: the ultimate wisdom of space utilisation

Under the cover of lush greenery, it is only when you walk in that you realise there is a guest room hidden in the living room! This is thanks to the designer’s clever conception.

Considering that the guest bedroom is not frequently used, building a solid wall not only takes up space but also affects the lighting, the designer simply chose to use electric fogging glass as a partition. In this way, when needed, it can become a private guest room; when not needed, it can be integrated with the living room to maintain a sense of spatial transparency.

Ceremony and tenderness in the master bedroom: emotional expression of home design

The design of the master bedroom is even more full of rituals. Double door design, customised top-to-top black bi-fold wooden doors with metal pulls, and X-shaped lights on the ceiling. The moment you push open the door with both hands, it’s like crossing into another world.

In the design of the master bedroom, the designer deliberately simplified the sense of decoration, with taro purple as the main colour of the space. This is known as the ‘fairy standard colour’ of the colour, so that the whole space is full of tenderness and romance.

Mauve siding background with gradient colour minimalist acrylic headboard and high grey high back upholstered bed, the combination of soft and hard materials, complementary hues. Under the reflection of the suspended ceiling and surrounding light strips, the whole space seems to be covered by a gentle halo.

The master bedroom also adds the function of an open cloakroom. A custom-made wardrobe was built against the wall at the end of the bed, and a centre island was added between the end of the bed and the wardrobe. This not only supplements the storage space for more accessories, but also adds a place to keep things handy. Taro purple light French cabinet doors with exquisite brass horse head pulls, is to bring another exotic mood.

Bathroom quality and convenience: home design details care

The design of the main bathroom should not be underestimated. The floor and wall are all made of continuous snowflake white slate, and the washbasin is a customised one-piece design made of the same material. This design invariably guides the extension of the line of sight, so that the sense of space can be expanded, the sense of quality is also greatly enhanced.

The white floor standing bathtub is paired with silver sanitary ware, revealing a sense of sophistication in its purity. The wall also added a rock plate shelf, bath supplies can be shelved at hand, both convenient and practical.

It is worth mentioning that the young lady had already chosen a washer and dryer before the renovation. The designer planned the storage location of the space well according to the size of the appliances, making daily use more convenient.

The Charm and Revelation of Metallic Interior Design

Looking back at the entire home design process, metallic interior design has undoubtedly become the main line throughout. It is not just a choice of material, but also a reflection of design concepts.

In this home, metallic texture and elements such as light, colour and material collide and blend with each other, together creating a unique and charming atmosphere. This atmosphere meets the young lady’s pursuit of individuality as well as her need for home comfort.

At the same time, this home design case also brings us a profound revelation: in home design, we should dare to break through the traditional constraints and try new materials and design concepts. Only in this way can we create a truly unique home space of our own.

In addition, this case also emphasises the importance of details in home design. Whether it’s the choice of electric fogging glass, the matching of the main colour of taro purple, or the design of the open cloakroom, it all reflects the designer’s extreme pursuit of details. It is these seemingly insignificant details that together constitute the unique charm of the entire home space.

Metallic interior design is perfectly interpreted in the home of this 90-year-old returnee girl. It is not only a design style, but also a reflection of life attitude. In this home, every detail reveals the young lady’s love of life and the pursuit of individuality. And home design is an important tool to help her realise this pursuit. I hope this case can bring some inspiration and help to you who are looking for home design inspiration.
